"Pat's Diner" is a "real" diner ... serving up tasty-riffic meals & smiles since 1948.
Great food a a fair price, with interactive "how ya' doin'?" greetings with a New England accent & in a historical flair of counter-seating & wooden booths.
My sausage gravy, eggs & biscuit meal fulfilled the 2 Q's - quantity & quality!
"Run-A-Way Bill" recommends "EAT at Pat's"

Not surprised this diner sits 'unclaimed' on YELP, that's so 'Pat's'.
The cataclysmic event in my recurring nightmare of a futuristic, post apocalyptic wasteland devoid of compassion, humanity and...corned beef hash is the disappearance of Pat's diner. It's exactly the kind of place I imagine driving by with grand-kids in our radiation suits saying that 'that there chrome and glass condo development used to be the site of Pat's diner'. The horror, Netflix already optioned the rights to this story.
We first met Pat when we tried to pay with a credit card at this cash-only joint. We spoke for a bit and she ended up taking a check because we were local and seemed OK. There's an interesting story that she took over from her husband or something to that effect, I can't remember exactly but she was wonderful to speak to, just like a welcoming grandmother, which is how she runs the business. I was appalled to read about one reviewer's brush with racism and wanted to say that we met a guy there once who was an obvious regular; he appeared to just be hanging out after eating and we spoke for a while, I think he worked at a local charitable organization, he ended up giving lolly pops to our kids and we actually let them eat them; the guy was African American and seemed part of the family...not taking anything away from the other reviewer's experience, just that I don't think there is an 'institutional' racism issue here or I would not be back.
Anyway, Pat's is a classic, railroad car-style diner with a rich, local patina and bucket-loads of character. I get some kind of combo and everything is top notch. My wife gets sandwiches and specials and enjoys them immensely; she had a meatloaf special once and I was beside myself, it just didn't seem like a good option, but it was amazing. We've also both had the Eggs Benedict and it's top-shelf.
They close at 1:30p so Pat can start preparing for her fights on the local MMA circuit, so plan accordingly.
Brought to you with generous support from the Titanic Nut Company. -

What I expected from a diner was quickly thrown aside. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was one of the best breakfast I've had in a long time. My wife wanted to go to a cafe up the road and the owner recommended Pats since they were going on vacation and he most likely lost a set of regulars because we are returning soon!!!

It is a really nice diner. I had the special - which was Irish Benedict - and it was good. The place is really neat. I believe it was a 1948 diner. The service was really good.
The downside is that it closes at 1:00 or 1:30 pm - in the afternoon (which is unusual for a diner - in my opinion). The other downside is that they are cash only (if you visit, make sure you have enough cash to pay the bill). -

This may have been the worst diner we have ever eaten. The eggs Benny's were awful!! And the omelette tasted like eggs out of a carton. Will never go back again
